DIRECTIONS
To maintain effectiveness, Co-Mate should be used consistently and on a regular basis. To use, just sprinkle a little Co-Mate evenly over a hot fire no more than once a day. Try alternating your application of Co-Mate between high and low burning fires, if possible.

Check regularly for the accumulation of fallen ash, especially in the first few weeks after starting a Co-Mate regimen. Allow 2-3 weeks of continuous use before visible effects can be noticed.
The following are usage guidelines only. How much Co-Mate you need depends on the design and condition of your system, the quality of the fuel used, and how often you use your appliance. Feel free to experiment to meet your particular requirements. Co-Mate is completely safe to use – even if you unintentionally use too much.

Wood Stoves and Fireplaces: Each day, add 3 tbsp (42g) of Co-Mate during the first 14 days of operation, reducing to 2 tbsp (28g) every second day the system is in use.

Pellet Stoves: Add 1-2 tbsp (14-28g) of Co-Mate into the burn pot each time a bag of pellets is emptied into the hopper.

Wood Furnaces: Every second day, apply 1/2 cup (112g) of Co-Mate into the fire directly, or spread across a stick or log and then place it in the fire.

CAUTION
Your chimney should always be inspected by a trained professional on a regular basis as recommended for your area. Before using Co-Mate for the first time and in the case of a very dirty flue, your chimney should be professionally cleaned to reduce the possibility of blockage from falling creosote. Co-Mate is not poisonous. If swallowed, drink 1 or 2 glasses of milk or water. In case of eye contact, flush thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, call a physician. Avoid excessive agitation and long term dust exposure. Keep out of reach of children.
